Two bodies of the four missing Kitengela men have been found dumped in Murang’a and Thika. The body of Elijah Obuong, 35, was retrieved from Mathioya River in Murang’a County where it was stashed in a sack and dumped.

Reports say that records indicate Obuong’s body was moved to Murang’a County Referral Hospital morgue on April 20. This was a day after he and three other men went missing in Kitengela, Kajiado County.

The body of Benjamin Amache Imbai, 30, was found in a mortuary in Thika where it was reportedly taken on April 20.

The bodies have now raised alarm on whether two other men are still alive or dead. The two others are Brian Oduor, 36 and Jack Ochieng, 37.

The four men are said to have arrived at Club Enkare in Kitengela in the afternoon. They ordered a few drinks and were last seen leaving the entertainment joint at around 3pm towards the facility’s parking bay, where they had left their vehicle; a white Toyota Mark X of registration plate KCQ 715C.

After the four went missing, police investigators visited the club where they found their vehicle still at the parking lot. Police insiders say that the vehicle never left the spot. Isinya police chief said the vehicle was towed to the Kitengela Police Station, where it would be subjected to forensic analysis. Investigators initially believe that the four were in transit from Nairobi when they decided to make a stop over at the club.

A report that appeared in the Daily Nation earlier in the week said that the four men lived large and spent their fortunes on fast cars, women and alcohol. They have also been linked with crime. “Police records place Benjamin at the centre of a crime committed on January 11 last year when a gang of seven broke into a car and stole Sh. 900, 000 at a yard on Ngong Road” the report said.
