Former Situation Room host Eric Latiff recently announced his departure from Spice FM, marking an end to the era of his contributions at The Situation Room podcast’s engaging talks. Hours after his exit, he announced that he was joining Nation Media Group (NMG).
To keep the Spice FM show running, Standard Media has introduced Dennis Aseto to fill in Latiff’s boots on an acting capacity. He will be working alongside CT Muga and Ndu Okoh.
Dennis Aseto is a prominent news journalist and TV presenter, who’s been working at KTN News. His popularity over the years has grown due to his engaging style of reporting and insightful coverage of various topics.
Furthermore, Aseto has previously had experience in radio broadcasting, media relations and corporate communications.
Aseto’s journalism career began in August 2008, when he was working as a radio presenter at ENC Radio. He worked there for a year, afterwards joining Royal Media Services in September 2009 for 6 months, serving until February 2010. Between August 2009 and October 2015, Dennis Aseto served as the Head of News at 1FM.
Eric Latiff lands new job after exiting Standard Group
He later took up the role of Breakfast News Anchor, later becoming the Head of News at Homeboyz Radio, from October 2015 to May 2021. His main roles were oversight of the News Desk and Content Dissemination.
He joined the Standard Group in May 2021 as a news reader, where he works to date. Dennis Aseto is the founder and CEO of ‘Convos With Toll’ podcast, which he established in March 2019. This is a podcast that focuses on everyday occurrences, and issues that need to be talked about but do not get attention.
His wealth of experience in journalism and podcasting made him the right choice to act on an interim basis as the Standard Group works to get a replacement for Eric Latiff.
