Jalang’o to raise Sh. 1 million for struggling Omosh

Popular comedian and Kiss Fm morning show radio presenter Jalang’o has come out to help troubled actor Joseph Kinuthia alias Omosh. Jalang’o says that he will raise up to Sh. 1 million for the former Tahidi High actor.

“This hurts me so much. I promise to raise him Sh. 1 million bob to restart his life again!” Jalang’o said.

Celebrity and aspiring politician Alinur Mohamed also came out to offer pledges to the struggling actor, while real estate firm Lesedi announced that it was willing to give Omosh a job. On Friday, Omosh revealed that he and his family were set to be evicted from their house over Sh. 100,000 rent arrears. “I just want a job, even if I will be getting Sh. 200 a day. I don’t mind about class and even if someone decides to start a hotel business where I can sell uji and tea, I am okay with that,” he said as he broke down in tears in a video that has been circulating on social media.

Omosh says that this is after his career as an actor took a downturn. He says that life has been difficult for him and his household, and he is currently in need of financial assistance.

He has not paid rent for nearly one year leading to his current predicament. “Providing food and other basic needs for my family has been a major problem. The landlord wants to collect everything from me,” said Omosh who lives in Nairobi’s Eastlands area. “Maisha imekuwa ngumu na hata watoi wanakuwa affected na vile maisha yangu imekuwa.” Omosh gained popularity while starring alongside actors Oj, Philip Karanja, and Abel Mutua who are now top celebrities in the country.
