The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced around 1,493 job vacancies in various government departments.
According to an advertisement by the Commission, the job vacancies are in the ministries of the National Treasury & Economic Planning, Gender and Affirmative Action, Shipping and Maritime Affairs, Irrigation, Lands and Physical Planning, Public Works, Sports, Roads, and Livestock Development.
The ministry of the National Treasury has the highest number of vacancies with 309 open positions. These positions include 144 vacancies for Budget and Finance Officers, 149 for Internal Auditors, and 13 for Economic Policy Analysts.
The Ministry of Gender and Affirmative Action has 28 vacancies for Gender Officers while the Ministry of Shipping and Maritime Affairs has four openings each for Government Clearing Officers II and Government Clearing Assistants III.

In the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, there are open vacancies for Assistant Engineer II, Irrigation Water Manager Officer II, Land Reclamation Officer II, Irrigation Development Coordination Officer II, and Assistant Irrigation Quality Assurance and Licencing Officer III.
There are also four available positions for members of the Board of Directors of the NG-CDF that are open to applications.
In the Executive Office of the President, the Commission has advertised 20 positions for the Cohesion Officer II vacancies. At the same time, the PSC has re-advertised the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Planning) at Egerton University.
In Land and Physical Planning, positions are open for Land Registrar II, Photolithographer II, Hydrographer II, Photogrammetrist II, Land Adjudication & Settlement Officer II, Cartography Assistant III, among others. Public Works has open positions for Architect & Landscape Architect II, Inspector (Buildings, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical), Engineer II (Structural, Electrical, Mechanical), and Fire Officer II, Quantity Surveyor II.
