A Kitale woman known as Sheila Wairimu alias Shay Diva Africa has been accused of illegally transferring ownership of Toyota Land Cruiser 200 popularly known as V8 to herself.
Shay Diva Africa is said to have transferred the vehicle’s ownership from her late Asian sponsor boyfriend without following the due estate distribution procedure.
The luxury car in question, registration number KCK 466N, a Toyota v8 pearl white in colour, belonged to the Pankajkumar Juthalal Dodhia whom Wairimu said gifted it to her before he passed on.
The 30-year-old musician, who was arrested on Friday last week, is accused of allegedly accessing the tycoon’s National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and transferring ownership of the vehicle to herself without following due processes of succession. The man died in April aged 61.
The family of the late tycoon however contested Wairimu’s acquisition of the vehicle by saying that her sponsor had not given it to her. The family said that Wairimu had been given the vehicle on a “use and return basis” since they were in a relationship.
According to NTSA, the socialite accessed the tycoon’s NTSA account and transferred ownership of the vehicle to herself without following due processes of succession. She changed ownership of the vehicle 4 days after the man died.

NTSA records revealed that she made a transfer of the logbook by logging into the TIMs account at 11.45 PM on April 26, four days after the man died and the authorization of transfer was granted at 2 PM the next day but there were no supporting documents from the owner.
She was tracked to Kitengela where she lives and the vehicle was towed first to Buruburu then later to Kitale Police Stations where she was arrested while attempting to recover it.
