Co-Op post

Details surrounding the death of ex-treasury official Tom Osinde have sent shockwaves throughout the nation, leaving behind a cloud of unease and anxiety.

Circumstances surrounding his death have left Kenyans flocking to social media with puzzling questions.

This is the first high-profile murder under the Kenya Kwanza administration. Osinde’s body was retrieved on June 22nd from River Kuja, already decomposing on the day he was reported missing.

Senior officers from various police departments have seriously taken up the case. Their primary objective is to thoroughly investigate and bring the heinous act’s perpetrators to justice.

Two individuals who Mr Osinde employed have emerged as prime suspects. Police departments work round the clock, leaving no stone unturned to catch the suspects who fled Osinde’s farm.

Osinde’s 10-acre farm

The little-known treasury official led a wealthy and prosperous life. He lived a posh life with many assets in his name. One of Osinde’s notable possessions was his residence on a 10-acre piece of land in Rongai, Nakuru County.

Video coverage by Citizen TV showcased an impressive driveway leading to Tom Osinde’s house. The long and winding driveway was bordered by neatly trimmed fences made of green plants.

Osinde practised mixed farming. His land boasts a vast maize plantation spanning the land. The deceased also kept several animals, such as dairy cattle, sheep and chickens.

At the heart of the farm stands the centrepiece, Osinde’s magnificent mansion. Painted in white, the mansion’s exterior is perfectly complemented by a modern black roof.

To the side of the mansion, there is a small parking garage where Osinde kept his vehicles. Two vehicles are seen to be resting at the spot.

Osinde owned a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 that cost between Sh. 6 million and Sh. 7.5 million. This vehicle has turned out to be one of the clues in finding Osinde’s killers.

Furthermore, his house boasts three balconies on the front facade overlooking his expansive country farm. Two of them led to the upstairs bedroom.

The mansion’s front entrance featured a high ceiling with tall glass windows, allowing plenty of light to penetrate into the house.
