TSC Jobs and Promotions: The Teachers Service Commission has announced that it will be hiring about 10,000 teachers. According to an advert that was published in the local dailies, the TSC stated that it will start off by hiring some 5,000 teachers in the month of July to support the 100 per cent transition.
These teachers will serve on permanent and pensionable terms. The commission asked teachers who may be interested in the vacancies to apply through the online portals tsc.go.ke or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke
Additionally, the TSC will be promoting and deploying 1,000 practising teachers in public primary schools. The commission will additionally recruit some 1,000 teachers to fill positions in primary schools. To meet the minimum requirements for the primary positions, candidates are required to:
a). Be a Kenyan citizen
b). Be a holder of a P1 Certificate
c). Be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission
To qualify for the promotion from primary to secondary positions, candidates are required to be:
a). Be a Kenyan citizen
b). Be a holder of a P1 Certificate
c). Be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission
d). Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Education with two subjects
e). Must have attained a mean grade of C+ in KCSE with a grade of C+ in the two teaching subjects
f). Must be serving under the TSC
