TECNO, a global premium smartphone brand, has today announced a partnership with the University of Nairobi. The partnership will enable students to join the TECNO Fan Club and get the opportunity to be part of the TECNO team through an internship program and other opportunities. The announcement was made at the Chandaria Hall, University of Nairobi towers.
In attendance included students, faculty members, and industry executives who were treated to acrobatic shows and motivational speeches. The TECNO fans club is embedded in the thriving partnership between TECNO and the University of Nairobi which revolves around identifying, and nurturing the skills and talents of students, helping them secure a future of hope and opportunity.
Speaking during the launch of the club, Ray Fang, TECNO Kenya Regional Director noted, “As TECNO we believe in the young as they are the future citizens of the world. We want to nurture them and guide them to become model citizens and create a great opportunity for themselves.”

During the month of October, TECNO will have various stations within the campus with key members of the TECNO team to interact with the various devices as well as know how to be able to join the TECNO Fan Club.
Johnson Ireri Kinyua, the Dean of Students at the University of Nairobi said,” The signing of the collaborative agreement, slated later in the year, will mark a critical milestone in academia-industry partnership to foster digital transformation, skills transfer, and job creation in the country.”
TECNO’s target is to reach over 10,000 students in the program and it will be extended to the various institutions of higher learning in Kenya.
