Badi Muhsin Dies: Veteran Swahili news anchor Badi Muhsin is dead. Badi Muhsin died in Mombasa on Friday afternoon. He died in Mombasa County at the age of 67.

Hus death came barely months after he returned to the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation as part of a team that was marshaled together to raise the national broadcaster’s profile.

A relative who was identified as Nassor said that Muhsin had just finished his Friday prayers, taken his lunch and returned to his room. He then complained of feeling unwell.

“He called a friend to say he was unwell. When the friend asked if he could take him [Badi] to the hospital, he declined saying he would be okay,” the relative told a local media station. Shortly after, his friend returned to the room to find Badi fast asleep. It was later established that he had died.
