New details concerning the gruesome murder of a 20-year-old girl along TRM drive in Roysambu, Karasani, have emerged.
Investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that the main suspect believed to be a Nigerian national, engaged the deceased via Instagram before they agreed to meet at the rental apartment.
Conversation between the two established that the deceased was hesitant to meet the man and even questioned him whether he had intentions of ending her life.
The suspect, however, denied the accusation, arguing that he wanted to meet her as he was about to fly out of the country for an urgent meeting.
The girl was convinced and agreed to meet the man in Roysambu. Upon alighting in Roysambu on Saturday, she was picked up by the suspect and followed him to the rental apartment along TRM Drive, not knowing it would be her last day alive.
A few hours after the hook-up, the lady was found murdered, and her dismembered body stuffed in polythene bags, with her head missing.

Detectives believe that the man committed the heinous act in the bathroom and cleaned the room to wash away any evidence.
Police on Monday night managed to arrest the suspect at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) while attempting to leave for Abuja.
Police officers traced him through the phone contact that he used to book the rental room. He was arrested alongside two other suspects and taken into custody at Kasarani Police Station.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased, who positively identified her at the city mortuary in Nairobi, declined to reveal the identity of the woman to the media.
Prior to her untimely death, the deceased had allegedly confided in a friend her whereabouts, leading the police to trace her family.
Investigations are still underway to uncover the motive behind the killing.
