The 2014 Toyota Esquire minivan is a sister to the Noah and the Voxy, first produced by Toyota in 2014, it has started to surface on the Japanese used car market and soon will be on Kenyan roads.

So how is it different from the Noah and Voxy?

Well, the Esquire for those seeking comfort and luxury but don’t want to spend on for an Alphard or Vellfire. Its more of the luxury version of the Noah or Voxy.

Inside the Esquire leather is used on the instrument panel, door trim, and seat upholstery giving it a cleaner and more polished look. Genuine leather and a black wood tone is also used on the steering wheel and shift knob for that added luxury feel.

Performance wise; it is not very different from its older siblings the Noah and Voxy.

It comes with two engine options;

An 1800cc 2ZR- FXE petrol hybrid and a 2000cc 3ZR-FAE Valvematic.

Both options come with a CVT transmission, however the hybrid comes with a CVT designed specifically for hybrid applications called the e-CVT.

In addition to that it also comes with a system called Toyota’s Safety Sense C that includes the following features; collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and high beam assist.

The 2014 Toyota Esquire adds a third option for mini-van lovers who would want to stick to the Toyota Nameplate.
