He has since been working in his own Sang’u Fm, a vernacular radio station that broadcasts in the Kamba native language. Sang’u is a Kamba word that loosely translates to “sweetness.” The ex-Darubini anchor revealed that the station was started in 2020 as an online audio publishing and streaming platform under the brand name Sang’u under the management of his wife, Betty Musambi.

The station has since grown into a big radio station creating an airwave driven by the tagline, ‘Vaa Nivo Kwaku’ which means, ‘this is where you belong.’ Sang’u Fm broadcasts on 93.4FM in Kitui and Machakos and 96.2FM in Makueni. Its exponential growth has won big chunks of Kamba audience across the Eastern region.
