A poor girl known as Brigid Bonareri Manduku from Kisii who scored a mean grade of B- (Minus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) has resulted to working in farms after missing out on university placement.

The girl’s plight was shared by police officer Sammy Ondimu Ngare who is also a philanthropist.

She managed the following grades:

BRIGID BONARERI MANDUKU INDEX: 43715127049 MEAN GRADE B- AGP 53 ENG B- KIS C+ MAT D BIO B- CHE C- GEO A BUS B+

Her grades indicate that she qualifies for a Diploma in Nursing at the Kenya Medical Training College. Brigid says that her passion is nursing. She also qualifies for a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

According to Ngare, Brigid made it through school by God’s grace and help from teachers who paid her fees every now and then. After she completed secondary school, Brigid resigned to her fate and went to work in farms.

Her family was so poor that she had barely made it through secondary school; there was no way she could ever step in college.

Here’s her plight as was shared by Ngare:

“Aki umaskini ni kitu mbaya sana duniani.. I really need advice kwa huyu msichana.. Sometimes napata such cases hata nashindwa atasaidikaje. She is called Brigid Bonareri Manduku..

The girl hails from Kisii county,Nyaribari Masaba constituency,Nyamasibi ward,Emeangara village..Mwamaturu family..  Huyu alimaliza Form four last year na kurudi home..

She scored a B- hata hakuapply for any course sasa yuko tu home analima na maisha inaendelea hivo.. Yaani yuko tu..
Shule alisomea tu miujiza ya God..ni ile kuonewa huruma na kulipiwa na walimu..

Sasa huyu atasaidikaje watu wangu?.. How do you handle such cases.. gaki obotaka obo?? (Aki umasikini) Huyu akikaa tu home this year kitambo next year ifike najua hatakuwa hivi.. Mambo ni mengi pale ushagoo..
