If you have USD1 million (Sh129 million), you will be given the opportunity to acquire the fastest US Green Card under a new expedited policy by the administration of President Donald Trump.

According to US Immigration Lawyer at The Law Offices of Spar & Bernstein Brad Bernstein, the new expedited Green Card will be rolled out through the Gold Card program that is scheduled to start in December 2025.

“You will be required to personally donate $1 million to the US Commerce Department or have a business donate $2 million to the Commerce Department on your behalf,” says Bernstein.

In exchange, Bernstein explains that you will be put in an expedited process to get your US Green Card.

“You will be placed in the EB-1 or even possibly EB-2 categories. This means that your spouse and all of your children who are aged 21 years and below will be eligible to accompany you and will be included in your application. You will all get your permanent resident cards (Green Card) all at once,” says Bernstein.

President Trump issued an executive order establishing the Gold Card visa in September 2025.

“The Gold Card [is] a visa program overseen by the Secretary of Commerce that will facilitate the entry of aliens who have demonstrated their ability and desire to advance the interests of the United States by voluntarily providing a significant financial gift to the [United States],” said President Trump in the executive order.

“The requisite gift amount shall be $1 million for an individual donating on his or her own behalf and $2 million for a corporation or similar entity donating on behalf of an individual.”

According to the order, President Trump was ending the influx of illegal immigrants, and replacing it with successful and financially endowed persons who would be beneficial to the United States.

“My administration is ending illegal immigration and prioritizing the admission of aliens who will affirmatively benefit the nation, including successful entrepreneurs, investors, and businessmen and women,” he said in the order.
