List and prices of 23 cars on auction by late tycoon Ramesh Gupta’s family

Cars on Auction: The family of deceased city tycoon and car dealer Ramesh Kumar Gupta has put his 23-car collection up for sale.

Kumar Gupta was a renowned car dealer and the proprietor of the Car Dealers 1969 Limited. He was killed in April 2016 when suspected gangsters raided his house in Parklands, Nairobi.

The collection on sale, which includes a majority of classic and non-classic cars, will be auctioned on November 13 through the administrator of the tycoon’s estate – Veeral Shah and Roma Wadhwa.

According to a brochure enlisting the sale of the 23 cars, the family will be seeking to raise a minimum of Sh.35 million from the sale based on the bids listed. Gupta’s collection features a variety of classics including world renowned brands such as the Bentley, Chevrolet, Porsche, Ford, Peugeot, Citroen and Mercedes Benz.

The most expensive vehicle in the collection is a Mercedes Benz valued at Sh.9 million while the least costly machine in the collection is a Porsche body shell valued at Sh.60,000.
