Dr. Amoth noted that the economics surrounding the management of COVID-19 patients is the reason behind putting measures in place to ensure that Kenyans practice home-based care.
“It is imperative that we develop strategies to ensure that we can be able to manage some of these people at home. Based on the WHO criteria of home based care, together with our case management team, we have customized protocols from WHO to suite our local environment, and now we are managing a number of people at home because majority of our people are still asymptomatic. It is based on an agreed criteria that has to be met and verified by the health workers, “said Dr. Amoth. Corona Treatment Cost .
