The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has come out to speak on Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s academic qualifications.
Speaking on Raila’s degree, the IEBC says that there is no room to question the legitimacy of his qualifications.
According to the IEBC Chief Executive Officer Marjan Hussein the IEBC had done due diligence on Raila’s academic qualification before he was cleared to run.
“By the time he was clearing him (Raila Odinga) he had certified himself that the candidate met all the legal requirements. To that extent I would say that Hon Raila Odinga actually met the requirements,” said Hassan.
The statement by the IEBC came after the UDA party which is affiliated with deputy president William Ruto made a statement alluding that Raila’s degree was questionable.
