Jumia To Create Additional 14,000 Jobs Under J-Force Program

Jumia, Kenya’s leading online store in 2013 launched J-Force program; a sales consultancy program to help create job opportunities for Kenyans and as a strategy to increase its sales margin. Through this program, one can earn commission by helping buyers order goods from Jumia.

Individuals, regardless of their background or educational achievements, can sign up to the program online & receive free sales & digital training from the Jumia team. At this point, without investing any capital to purchase products, they can sell a huge variety of products (over 700,000) to customers in their neighbourhoods – and be their own bosses. The sales agents earn a commission ranging from 3% to 10% and can be paid up to Kshs 1 million depending on number of sales made per month.

Since its inception, J-Force program has so far recruited over 6,000 sales agents and aim to recruit 14,000more by end of 2018.

During the Jan 27th award ceremony, Juma Cheja emerged the overall J-Force agent winner and won a one week trip to Dubai.

“I am very thankful to Jumia for rewarding me with this once in a lifetime opportunity. I’m very happy because maybe I would have never set my foot in Dubai if it wasn’t for Jumia. The program is currently my main income source and I would advice everyone out there to join this amazing program” said Juma Cheja.
