Former NTV presenter Lolani Kalu has opened up on how hard life has become since he lost his job at NTV. Lolani, who hosted the show Malimwengu also appealed for help.
Lolani said that after losing his job three years ago, he had decided to open a production company. The company though did not perform as expected. It has been struggling with some clients failing to pay up for work done, said Lolani.
Lolani further said that he had lost all his savings amounting to Sh. 1.5 million to a rogue businessman whom he had contracted to build him a retirement home in Kang’undo.

Mr. Kalu further told a local news platform that he is currently living in the coastal region, where he uses a friend’s laptop to try and edit his works. He is a father of three.
Lolani’s plight came to light after a social media user identified as Ahmed Mohamed asked for his whereabouts. Mohamed posted: “A few days ago I asked about the whereabouts of journalist Lolani Kalu. Today Chief Inspector Siyat of Kaloleni Station has found him. I have spoken to Lolani. He is going through hard times & seeking for your help. His number is 0720554930. Kindly send him what you can. Thanks.”
