Nancy Matimu: Nancy Matimu was appointed the chief executive officer at Multichoice Kenya in December 2019. Ms. Matimu took over from Eric Odipo. She was the former Mastercard Vice President, and Head of Market Development in Sub-Saharan Africa.

She holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Strathmore University, Advance Management Program (AMP) and Chief Executive Program (CEP) from Strathmore Business School. She first graduated at Kenyatta University in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in Planning and Management.

She has worked for prominent companies such as Safaricom (Head of Safaricom Home and Content/Consumer Products/Enterprise Products & Innovation), Airtel (General Manager Marketing & Africa Head Products & Innovation Revenue), HF Group as chief digital officer and Mastercard as the Vice President, Head Market Development Sub Saharan Africa.

I am a high performing commercial leader with over 20 years B2B and B2C experience in leading and directing growth through transformation of businesses and capacity building in brand, products and innovation as well as sales and operational excellence in ICT, Telecommunications and Financial Service. Over time I have built the capability to inspire teams to deliver extra-ordinary results.

I have held general management and specialist roles with as high as US$ 2 billion P&L responsibility in the top organizations in Kenya and Sub-Sahara Africa such as Safaricom, Airtel and iWayAfrica where I built and transformed businesses to gold standard level. Along the way I created and continue to build a network of professional connections in Kenya at C-Suite level in both public and private sector, regional Sub Sahara Africa C-suite contacts in Telco and FMCG and global OTT senior leadership as well as rare product management and commercial growth talent.
