After finally fulfilling her parents’ dream, Nisha Injendi stands tall and proud as a beacon of accomplishment. The young lady managed to build a five-bedroom house for them.

They gave up their dream of home ownership to pave the way for Nisha’s academic journey.

7 years down the line, the wait finally came to an end. Taking to social media, overwhelmed with joy, Nisha commemorated the achievement with the house photo and captioned above it, “I love home.”

“When my parents used the bricks meant to build their house for my high school education fees, I shattered their dream…But when God blessed me, I decided to make their dream come true,” read the caption on Nisha’s Facebook.

In an exclusive interview, Nisha divulged that the house completion required a total investment of Sh. 1.5 million.

She leveraged her earnings as a chef, saved diligently over time and began procuring essential building materials through bids.

“The house cost, including materials, labour, door and windows…everything to where it is now, is Sh. 1.5 million,” she said.

“Though, I started to buy all the materials first in bids, taking like seven years. The construction of the house took around three months.”

Additionally, she explained the intricate details of the construction, noting she used 200 cement bags, nearly 9,000 bricks and 86 iron sheets to make the house aesthetically pleasing eventually.

“In terms of bricks, I made my own at home, about 8,000-9,000 bricks. I paid Sh. 4 per brick, so it was not that costly,” Nisha stated.

Highlighting the size of the house, Nisha shared that it has a spacious sitting room, a dining room and a veranda that rivals the size of the sitting room itself.

Lastly, Nisha urged the youth to embrace hard work in all their endeavours while diligently saving for the future. She also advised them never to lose sight of the value and love their parents have bestowed on them.

“Number one, youth should put God first in whatever they’re doing. Don’t lose hope, be smart, have patience, and hope that nothing stops you from achieving what you wish.”

“Save from the little you make, life requires working hard and smart…remember your parents, they sacrificed a lot for us,” she opined.
