ODM leader Raila Odinga has threatened that the Azimio la Umoja coalition shall aid in the division of Kenyans if that is what the government of President William Ruto wants.
“If deepening and widening the divisions among Kenyans is what the UDA regime wants, we will only be too happy to help them along that path,” said Raila.
Raila claimed that the Kenya Kwanza coalition led by Ruto was keen on punishing Cherera and her colleagues while rewarding Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission boss Wafula Chebukati and his three colleagues.
He further alleged that Chebukati has vowed not to hand over the IEBC office to Cherera when his term expires in January 2023.
“Chebukati and the others have sworn not to hand over to Cherera and her team. That is why there is a rush to ensure Chebukati has no one to hand over to come January,” he alleged.
Speaking at the same address, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka said that the Azimio trio of Raila, Karua and himself is ready to take their supporters to the streets to keep the Juliana Cherera and her three colleagues in office.

“It looks like our friends want to take Kenyans back to the streets. Kenyans would have wanted a peaceful Christmas, why are you doing this to our country? Cry, my beloved Kenya,” said Kalonzo.
Cherera and her three colleagues are facing proceedings that are expected to kick them out of office over their controversial actions during the August 9 General Elections.
