Kenyan man defies dwarfism, rolls sleeves to work mjengo jobs

A short Kenyan man has sparked mixed reactions on social media after a video of him carrying heavy stones and bags of cement at a construction site (mjengo) went viral.

Despite his short stature, the video of the man, identified as Larry, serves as a compelling reminder of the cliché saying disability is not inability.

The video, shared by @larrykanush38 on Tiktok, showed him effortlessly ascending a staircase with two bags of cement on his back.

Co-Op post

“I can do better still,” he captioned the video.

In another post, Larry was observed carrying two heavy construction stones outside a building and then positioning them next to a mason.

‘You are eating my fare? Here is where I got it from,” read the caption.

Kenyans, evidently astonished by Larry’s incredible strength, flooded his comment section with words of encouragement and admiration.

DJ Iyan: I used to carry four of them in 2020 during the pandemic times. Ladies should sometimes appreciate the hustle and process. I remember being dumped despite my hard work.

Sally: He’s closer to the ground, hence less gravity

Ian Muchiri: The foreman should be jailed.

Manuell: Don’t do that. Just carry one at a time. Take care of yourself

Ronny Madini: Keep up bro. Hard work pays
