Top 4 Things You Should Keep in Your Car

Those car-related glitches that just ruin your day can happen at any time. As the saying goes, the best defense is a good offense, so it’s best to have some emergency automotive gear ready should car problem come calling. Here is a list of the top 4 things that every motorist should consider keeping in their vehicle.

1. Jumper Cables

Seeing as a car’s batteries could go dead at any time, everyone should have a set of jumper cables in their trunk.  A dead battery is often times the main reason why car cannot start.  All it takes is for a small interior light to be accidentally left on for your battery to be drained in just a few hours. And, even if it is not your car that misbehaves, having a set of jumper cables may end up helping a fellow, less fortunate motorist.

2. Flashlight

There is a good chance that it will be night time the next time your car dies, making a quality flashlight very useful. Just go ahead and buy a flashlight for crying out loud

3. Hand Tools

As with jumper cables, a flashlight and a Fix-A-Flat, a basic set of tools is a must have for your car. Sure, you could go with some of the extra tools laying around your house, but the smartest thing you can do is buy a kit that comes with a decent selection. You have probably seen such kits in auto parts and hardware stores. They usually come in form-fitted plastic cases containing screwdrivers and pliers.

4. First Aid Kit

Your car must contain a first aid kit, especially if you have children. First Aid kits are available in pharmacies as small, comprehensive kits that are easily stored in small compartments. They typically include elastic wraps, bandages, a cold compress, and surgical tape, antiseptic and other useful things.

Things such as getting a flat tire or a dead battery could happen at any time, so it’s important to keep various items in your car to help you out when that time comes.
