Toyota Kenya launches Belta, Rumion at Sh. 2.8 million

Toyota Kenya, now known as CFAO Motors Kenya Limited, has launched two brand new car models which are selling at Sh. 2.8 million.

CFAO Motors Kenya Limited launched the Toyota Rumion at Sh. 2.85 million and the Toyota Belta at Sh. 2.83 million. the two cars are rated at zero mileage.

The two vehicles might be a tall order for buyers with second hand models for the same vehicles currently selling at between Sh. 1 million and Sh. 1.4 million for the 2015 models.

“We are constantly ensuring we respond to consumers’ needs. As a result, we have partnered with credible financial institutions to offer up to 95 percent for the two models,” Arvinder Reel, CFAO Motors Kenya managing director, said in a statement.

Each of the two cars will be sold with a five-year warranty or 150,000km, whichever comes first. The service intervals are after every 10,000km. The two models have 1.5-litre engines powered by petrol.

CFAO Motors is the biggest seller of new passenger cars, with the expansion of models seeking to target the popularity of the Toyota brand in the local market. The Japanese automaker has a wide variety of cars, most of which have not been available at CFAO Motors which is the exclusive distributor of the brand new models.

The launching of he cars come at a time when the local vehicles market is witnessing a huge spike in the cost of second hand cars. The price for the low budget Toyota Vitz has jumped to above Sh. 1 million while buyers of the Nissan Note are spending up to Sh. 900,000 to acquire the 2015 model.
