A.O Bayusuf & Sons Ltd is one of the most prominent truxking companies in Kenya.
The business that was founded some four decades ago has expanded its tentacles to service the larger East African region from its base in the coastal city of Mombasa.
A.O Bayusuf Ltd – also known as Awadh Omar Bayusuf & Sons Ltd – was incorporated in June 1993 from the Bayusuf Brothers Ltd.
It has over 40 years in haulage services in East & Central Africa. The company handles various types of cargo which include containerized, Loose Cargo, fuel and special cargo transportation.
The company has a workforce of between 500 and 1,000 employees and it can handle up to 7,000 metric tons of cargo daily depending on the availability of goods at the port or warehouse.

“The company has in the past transported thousands of tonnes of relief cargo to various destinations within East and Central Africa,” says the company.
“We have been transporting to Eastern Ethiopia Ogaden, Direwa in the province of Harage. Gulu and Moroto in Uganda for World Food Programme (WFP), Koboko in Southern Sudan for the Norwegian Peoples Aid (NPA) and to Bunjumbura, Burundi for food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).”

A significant number of its drivers have over 20 years of driving experience with certification in safe defensive and safety driving.
“The company is one of the major transporters in Kenya owning a fleet of over 250 trucks and trailers,” states the company.

- Fuel Tanks with loading capacity of 12,000 litres to 43,000 litres.
