KICC might be auctioned over Sh. 716 million debt

Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) is fighting to keep auctioneers in Kenya away over a Sh. 0.7 billion debt. Today, KICC moved to court seeking to stop multiple companies from auctioning its properties over Sh. 716 million pending bills.

“I am apprehensive that by attaching the corporation property or exposing its inability to meet its world trade organization ministerial conference has the potential effect of bringing its functions to a standstill or throwing into disarray its (KICC) functioning. contrary to public interests and policy,” says KICC chief executive officer Nana Gechaga.
