With over 8, 500 Co-op Kwa Jirani agents spread across the country, Co-op Bank has evolved to become the bank next door.
Unlike a few years ago when Kenyans had to travel to the traditional bank in order to carry out banking services, today, bank customers can carry out all banking services available at the formal bank right at the Co-op Bank’s agent in their estates, villages, roadsides, and towns.
In many cases, one of the biggest questions that many customers contemplating banking through an agent have to ponder is on the kind of charges they will incur.
Are the charges high? Well, a spot check by Bizna Kenya reveals that Co-op Bank’s agency banking has the lowest charges in the market. For instance, while you will be charged to remit your NHIF payments through a mobile phone, at a Co-op Bank Kwa Jirani agent, you will get this service free of charge! Interestingly, the same case applies to among others payments to counties and governments.
This means that the bank has maintained a value-addition streak that has made it easier for its customers to access critical banking services on top of cutting costs and boosting the bank’s profitability and value to investors.
Customers can withdraw up to Sh. 100,000 per day at the Co-op’s agents using a mobile phone.
Below, we have compiled a list of charges you will take for transacting specific amounts. Take a look.
