Kind Kenyans raise over Sh125K school fees for stranded JKUAT student

Kenyans on X (Twitter) have joined hands to raise school fees for a fourth-year Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student.

Abuya Masta, a BSC in Medical Laboratory Sciences student, was on the verge of deferring his studies for a year due to fees arrears amounting to Sh437,570.

In his letter to the Dean of Biomedical Studies JKUAT, the student, who is also a fitness enthusiast, cited financial constraints as the main reason behind his decision to drop out of school.

Opening up about previous trolls when seeking financial help, Abuya revealed he has been sponsoring his education since primary school.

“Guys, educating yourself from class seven up to college is not easy. For those trolling me, hope you understand how far I have come”, Abuya lamented.

He thanked all the well-wishers who stepped up to see his dream become a reality.
