President William Ruto on Wednesday announced more appointments to the Cabinet.
The appointments included members of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
In the new list, the following names were nominated;
1). John Mbadi – National Treasury and Economic Planning
2). Salim Mvurya – Investments, Trade and Industry
3). Rebecca Miano – Tourism and Wildlife
4). Opiyo Wandayi – Energy and Petroleum
5). Kipchumba Murkomen- Youth Affairs, Sports, and Creative Economy
6). Hassan Joho – Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs
7). Alfred Mutua – Labour and Social Protection
8). Wycliffe Oparanya – Cooperatives and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development
9). Justin Muturi – Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management
10). Stella Soi – Gender, Culture, Arts and Heritage
Last week, the president had named the first batch of his cabinet secretaries nominees as follows;
1). Ministry of the Interior and National Administration – Kithure Kindiki
2). Ministry of Health – Debra Mulongo Barasa
3). Ministry of Defense then later moved to Environment – Aden Duale
4). Ministry of Roads and Transport – Davis Chirchir
5). Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry later moved to Defense – Soipan Tuya
6). Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation – Eric Muga
7). Ministry of Education – Julius Migosi
8). Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development – Alice Wahome
9). Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development – Dr Andrew Karanja
