NTSA changes driving categories on all licenses. See your new classes

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has changed driving license categories in Kenya.

The changes come a few days after the eCitizen services portal was revamped. The changes also follow the upgrading of the NTSA App that is now allowing Kenyans to verify their driving licenses and access NTSA services on mobile phone.

In the new changes, drivers who were categorized as B.C.E have now been categorized as B, C, C1.

However, drivers who are yet to acquire new smart driving licenses are unable to see any of their endorsements online.

This means that their licenses are only categorized as B, C, C1. Currently, it costs Sh. 3,000 to upgrade a driving license from the old booklet to the new smart card.
