What killer househelp did for her mom after murdering Rahab Karisa

Diana Naliaka has been identified as the househelp who killed Kilifi County senior official Rahab Karisa.

Moments after commiting the murder, Diana fled from Kilifi to Bungoma where she hid at her friend’s house.

Reports say that it is that this house where she changed her clothes before meeting up with her mother. Her plan was to escape the country by crossing over to Uganda.

After meeting with her mother, Diana used some money that she had to buy shopping for her mother. It was not however immediately clear if she informed her that she was on the run from the police after commiting murder in Kilifi County.

It was also not clear if her friend knew that she was on the run or whether she knew about the incident.

According to detectives, Diana was not using her real name. Apparently, she had been using the name Saraha Nekesa Barasa. This was the name if her aunt.

She also did not have an identity card, and had been using her aunt’s identify card to register mobile lines which she used for communication and mobile money transactions.

Diana was arrested on a footpath in Bungoma. Detectives said that she was attempting to escape to Uganda.

Diana is accused of murdering Rahab Karisa at her home in Kilifi, shortly after Karisa returned from an assignment outside the country.
