A Nairobi lawyer will be smiling all the way to the bank. This is after a High Court awarded him Sh. 264 million in legal fees for five cases.
Professor Tom Ojienda, was awarded the fees from a series of court cases in which he represented the Nairobi County Council and won in 2014.
This pay has come out to position the legal field as one of the best paying in the country, and especially for highly esteemed top lawyers.
Prof. Ojienda had initially demanded a cumulative Sh. 1.84 billion in legal fees from the city’s county government.
